Price was reasonable
We were told that the computers were down, and we could see there was a large group in the back room, but that's no excuse for not at least bringing us drinks. I left a 10% tip. My husband wouldn't have left anything.
Not “the Best in the Smokies” by a long shot. Mediocre food with little atmosphere. Brisket and pulled pork was very dry with no flavor. In fact if it hadn’t been for the decent BBQ sauce I wouldn’t have known I was even eating anything at all. Both were topped on the cheapest softest bun they could find (which soaked right through) and some off-brand ketchup for their frozen grocery store variety fries. Save yourself the trouble and skip this place. There’s a subway right next door.
When the waitress finally got to us, she asked if we'd like a box. (We only ate about 1/2 our meals, so we still had 2 large plates of food on the table.) She brought a box, dropped the check and was gone again. I had to get up and find someone to get another box so we could bring both dinners home.
Great barbecue! I got mine with the hottest hot sauce choice and nearly caught on fire! HOT!!!
It was ok. I Did not find the ribs to be all that flavorful. It could be that I am used to other types but I have had various types but these did not stand out. Sides portions were generous and good. Onion rings were very good. I had the 1/2 rack and my wife had the pulled pork that she said was good.
My husband and I stopped here on November 4 while on a day trip to the area. We waited around 20 minutes to get a table even though we could see several clean, empty tables available. After finally being seated the experience sadly didn't get any better. It took longer for us to get our food than most bbq places we've been to and once we finally did, it didn't have much flavor. The elderly lady running the register wasn't at all friendly either. Maybe it was just an off day for them but we would not recommend this place.
We usually eat here at least once every time we come to the Smokies, but today was the last time. The food was pretty good, but the service was awful. We sat with empty cups for more than 25 minutes and no one came to check on us until time to bring the check. Even then, several tables that had been seated after us were given their checks first.
Like I said, the food was pretty good. Entree with 2 sides plus hush puppies, $9.99 each. I had chopped pork. Hubbie had 1/2 chicken. Fried green tomatoes appetizer (Very tasty!), $7.99
Staff was very good and attentive.
